This is the time of the year where most people set New Year Resolutions. It is a great time to think about what we really want in life, and then set up a strategy to achieve those specific goals. This is why I plan to write my next few blog posts on this topic.

As a starting point, it is helpful to ask some meaningful questions as to what it is we really desire in the different areas of our lives. For example, I define my personal goals in these categories: business and career goals, relationship goals, personal development goals, leisure and pleasure goals, as well as charitable goals.

Following through with our plans is difficult enough, which makes it even more important to have clarity as to what we truly want.  Brian Tracy is one of the big experts in this area, and here are 7 questions he suggests we must answer before we set our goals. I encourage you to answer them, as I will too. Here they are:

I. What are the five things that I value the most in life?

II. In 30 seconds or less, write down the three most important goals for your life right now?

III. What would you do if you won $1 million in the lottery tomorrow?

IV. What would you do and how would you spend your time if you learned today you had six months to live?

V. What have you always wanted to do but been afraid to attempt?

VI. What has given you your greatest fulfillment?

VII. What one great thing would you dare to dream if you knew you could not fail?

Write down your answers to these questions, and then try and define your goals in what you see as your key areas to enjoy a fulfilling life in 2015. Have fun and let me know;-)
