Have you ever looked back and wished you had started with the pursuit of a goal, say 5 or 10 years ago?

What if you had triple the motivation to do accomplish that task, do you think you would have started it?

If you are like me, your answer is probably, YES!

So what would you give, to instantly triple your motivation so that you could fulfill your deepest dreams?

Think about it for a second:

Whether you want more success so you can live in a beachfront house, attract the love of your life, or stop a bad habit like for example smoking, how easy would it become to make such dreams happen, if you could instantly triple your motivation and dig deeper than ever before?

I want to show you how you can make this happen. However, to do so, we need to fully grasp why we do the things we want to do, so we can find the right reasons to invest time, money and effort, in order to move mountains if that is what it takes to succeed.

Without a firm belief as to why it is worth pushing our limits to a maximum, we are doomed to fail over and over again.

So the BIG question is, how can we TRIPLE our MOTIVATION

Well, initially, most people are driven by what others think about us. Our feelings of worthiness and competence hinge upon their feedback. While this constant fear of rejection can push some to exceptional results, it actually limits most of us.

Either way, we can never feel fully satisfied, as our success is not within our control but lays in the hands of those who judge us. As our real motivation here is to avoid sentiments of criticism and rejection by others, we feel at least at some level lots of frustration.

The good news is we can instantly double our motivation! We do this by shifting our focus towards dreams that are within our sphere of influence. Rather than chasing results we see them as a tool to allow us to grow our character, and become the person we want to be.

For example, an athlete may use the goals of winning competitions to pursue his vision of becoming a mentally tougher, more disciplined yet positive and passionate personality who inspires others to push themselves towards fulfilling their potential.

By focusing on what we truly want, and what makes us feel passionate and excited, we instantly double our motivation so that we can achieve the kind of dreams that seemed unobtainable. But how can we go even further, and enhance the motivation pedal by another gear?

Well we can trigger the highest form of motivation when our feelings of worthiness and competence don’t depend on anyone’s feedback- not from others but also not from ourselves. This is almost a Buddhist form of detached motivation that allows us to feel comfortable in our own skin, as we do the things that generate real joy and growth.

In this state of “flow”, we become fully engaged in our activity. We don’t compare ourselves towards others, and find our real motivation by enjoying the process as well as the outcome of our efforts and persistence.

Of course, we will always experience all these levels of motivations- we are humans after all. At the same time, it really is worthwhile to find ways that allow us to feel fully engaged at what we do, free from any inner form of criticism. This is when we find ourselves fully focused, motivated and giving our very best towards the achievement of results that are meaningful and fulfilling.

Take a moment to think about this:

Can you remember the times in which you were fully immersed in what you were doing, feeling undistracted by thoughts related to your performance?

How successful were you at what you were doing, and equally important, how satisfying was that activity?

And finally, what kind of motivation was driving you in those instances?
